Excitement
The plan was to be in 2011 but somehow after much persuasion from DF,we’ll bring the date forward with a small ceremony..(our wedding savings are in for fixed deposits which available in 2011).There was much disagreement over number of guests agreed upon, I mean in just 4months time I can only cater for 600pax and I’ve to cut my spendings last minute coz I wanted to only have 200pax event,then again,typical Malays, (not me of course!) that bothers about what others may say if blah blah blah.. My own pocket burn juz to make others happy,what a way! Its ok, as usual, I juz kept quiet and follow lor..”You say what,what lor” - meaning whatever you wish is my command..
So off I went hunting down for caterers,ridiculous pricings out there..mind you chinese Halal caterers offers better. Finally I’ve found Farah Diana Catering.I’ve them in mind before and well, decided to go ahead to choose her. She threw in Putu Piring station for me on that day. Mr. Putu Piring will serve hot, piping putu piring and cook them on the spot for guests! How nice! Dearest Fiancee was asking me if we can bring out our chocolate fondue for the guests to use too..well let me think about it, that fondue is meant for our family’s(his family and me) usage (we often do fondue-dipping during birthdays and Raya @ his house)..ehhehe..let me think about it ok..
That settled, my andam has been chosen, I get to choose my own bridal design for both outfits..hope all turns out well,Insyallah..
Henna has been chosen,Saheli Bridal House’s Luvreena, will do my henna, sponsored by DF.. *smiles* Thank you dearie!! I’ve booked bridal cuppies, I don’t quite like traditional wedding cakes,it’ll be cute cuppies with hot pink toppings and a cake topper..oh yes, theme is Bandung Pink & Cream White. I’m so loving it!
My dearest paternal uncle & wifey wanted to do up cakes as part of desserts..goodness I’ve lotsa desserts on the day,happy dessert-ing for guests..gosh..what else oh Mom,too,follow suit in dessert frenzy..
Wedding favors sponsored by Mom..not sure if it’s nice or anything but sponsored,right? No expectations..as long “kaching” is not involved..hehe..was telling DF if we can save a lil’ bit more so we can come out some surprises..
Photographer settled,one of my ex-classmate for a reasonable price.Thank you,Hen. =) DJ we secured an unbelieveable price! Thanks to DF’s subordinate,who helped outsourced for it..now left with wedding cards..have yet to decide on any designs or where to get it done.
4months to go..need to do it fast,right? Goodness me..I’m feeling the cold feet..hehe all the more sad coz soon after I’ll be staying at his house,yes,he has his own house already waiting for me in Sengkang..ehehe..I can be reunited with Matin & Dhora 24/7!! No more weekends visitings..I will have my own cat room too!!! Yippe-dooo!!! *enuff*
Now, I’ve to go and attend Marriage Prep Course. Don’t understand why it’s unnecessary for non-Muslims, but mandatory for Muslims..and it’s at $130 per pax..goodness me! All my year-end bonuses gone to savings for the big event,it’s ok, save now and fun later,rite? hehehee..toodles.
